This is the perfect time for a wide range of check ups: height, weight, ears, eyes, and of course - speech and language. If your child's doctor tells you not to worry (that your child will "catch up in time") but you are still concerned, it's OK to get a second opinion. At this age, there are very specific skills that can be measured to obtain a baseline, allowing us to gather true progress. Remember your child is building the foundation for a life-long road to learning.
